This honor is presented to a teacher who exhibits exemplary use of technology in the classroom.
These teachers recognize and use a wide variety of technology tools to enhance the learning
of all students.
WHO CAN BE NOMINATED?
Any teacher who is currently employed by a school (elementary, junior high, high school,
vocational, or special education) in the Mission Consolidated Independent School District.
WHO CAN DO THE NOMINATING?
Any campus staff member such as an administrator, counselor, or teacher may nominate a teacher
for this honor.
HOW TO NOMINATE A TEACHER:
Submit your nomination via the online form posted on the MCISD Instructional Technology web site
SELECTING THE TEACHER OF THE MONTH:
The Coordinator for Instructional technology along with other technology staff such as the
District Training Specialist will review the candidates and select 1 teacher per month based upon
following criteria:
· Excellence in the Classroom - consistently using technology and advancing students
to higher levels of academic achievement.
· Motivation - using technology and having the ability to motivate and encourage students
to advance past their expectations academically.
· Creativity and Imagination - demonstrating creativity and imagination with technology in their lesson plans and teaching methods that inspire students to learn.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
All entries must be submitted by the 25th of each month. Winners will be selected and informed
by the 30th of the month.
