White Jr. High students win Public Utility Commission poster contest

                 Mission, Texas- Students from K. White Jr. High School won the top three prizes in a recent poster contest by the Public Utility Commission (PUC) of Texas. When the campus chose to participate in the Power to Save Texas contest, the campus also received curriculum materials for the campus to incorporate into its studies relating to power and conservation.

                Brandy Bernal won first place. Giselle De Leon won second place. Simera Garcia won third place. In addition to taking the top three spots, two other students earned honorable mention honors due to their creativity. They are Ami Sanchez and Alexis Flores.

                Each of the top three students received gift cards from the PUC as prizes in the amounts of: $200 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place. Plus the campus received a total of $850 for a pizza party and supplies.
