Mission, Texas- The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) varsity mariachi group recently participated in the first-ever UIL mariachi contest. The group received the best rating possible, a division 1, and an invitation to the first UIL State Mariachi finals to be held in San Antonio, Texas, Friday, March 11. The Mariachi Toros de Plata are scheduled to perform at 8:45 p.m. at Southwest High School.
