High-tech bookworm field trip

Members of the Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) Book Club recently took a trip to San Antonio to check out the first all-digital, paperless library in the nation. The MCHS Booi Club members visited Bibliotech to learn about its innovative concept in libraries and technology. Virginia Barnhart, MCHS librarian, was awarded a National Target Grant that made the trip possible, along with some additional fundraising by the club members. Students had the opportunity to tour all aspects of Bibliotech, including an impressive collection of ebooks to some of the latest library media technology. Pictured are some of the students as they explored a table-sized piece of Bibliotech’s technology.
