Mission, Texas- New members of the Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) Board of Trustees have taken their oaths of office and their positions on the board. The swearing-in ceremony was held as a part of a special Board of Trustees meeting on May 18.
The board members taking the oaths of office were: Dr. Sonia M. Trevin̄o, Place 2; Jerry Zamora, Place 3; Patricia O’Can̄a-Olivarez, Place 4; Charlie Garcia III, Place 5.
After each newly elected official took their oaths of office, the board unanimously approved new officers. They are: Patricia O’Can̄a-Olivarez, president; Roy Vela, vice president; Petra B. Ramirez, secretary.
The other members of the Board of Trustees are: Minnie R. Rodgers, Charlie Garcia III, Dr. Sonia M. Trevin̄o, Jerry Zamora.
