Mission, Texas- Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) is once again working with the Boys and Girls Club of Mission in a partnership promoting physical activity. The latest was a series of volleyball tournaments for elementary students and sixth grade students. For the elementary grades, school teams were divided into two sides (east and west).
In the east side elementary volleyball tournament, first place went to Bryan Elementary School. There was a tie for second place between Alton Elementary School and Mims Elementary School. Castro Elementary School earned fourth place.
In the west side elementary volleyball tournament, Leal Elementary School came in first place. Cantu Elementary School placed second. Third place went to Pearson Elementary School. Fourth place went to Waitz Elementary School.
Competition at the sixth grade tournament was fierce. There was a three-way tie for first place between Alton Memorial Jr. High School, K. White Jr. High School, and Mission Jr. High School.
