Mission, Texas- The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) FFA Chapter has wasted little time in earning competition prize banners. They recently participated in the Rio Grande Valley Plant ID and Land Judging contest in Mercedes. Their Greenhand Land Judging Team placed third and will receive a banner at the District Banquet in May. The team consists of: Austin Solis, Anna Vela, Angela Gracia, Ernesto Elizondo, Andrew Flores.
In the Chapter Land Judging division, students placed fourth. This team consisted of: Klarissa Farias, Samantha Wolter, Gloria Hernandez.
The Chapter Plant ID competition team also ranked. Members were: Caleb Pena, Jorge Salinas, Alexandra Salinas, Brianna Flores.
