MJH gets a visit from a Science Trailblazer

Sixth and seventh grade students at Mission Jr. High School (MJH) had a museum-on-wheels pay them a visit Monday, April 14. The Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) travels the state with their Trailblazer exhibit trailers. These 40-foot long trailers house a variety hands-on Engineering and Science exhibits. It is the only interactive Science and Engineering museum-on-wheels in Texas.  The Trailblazer was scheduled to visit only four schools in the Rio Grande Valley area this trip.

Trained volunteers provide explanations and demonstrations for each exhibit that is tied directly to specific areas of the state Science curriculum. The Trailblazer visit is like an in-school field trip.
