Academic UIL contest season off to a strong start for MHS

                The Mission High School academic UIL students have started their competitions by attending the recent Edinburg High School UIL Academic Invitational. Quite a few students finished in the top ten.

                Edgar Garza earned first place among the tenth graders in the Number Sense competition.

                In Calculator Applications, Alyssa Garza placed second among ninth graders; Edgar Garza finished in third place among tenth graders; Kimberly Ramon tied for eighth place in the tenth grade; Ricardo Yruegas tied for eighth place among the juniors.

                Team sponsor Noe Pena indicated this was a strong showing for the first contest of the year.
