Crib to College

The Crib to College program is a transformative initiative aimed at creating a seamless educational pipeline for all students, transitioning them from early learning childcare facilities to kindergarten and beyond.

The Mission CISD Crib to College program, in collaboration with Region One ESC, introduces Texas certified Pre-K partnership teachers to the early childcare facilities, where they will deliver Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 curriculum.

For the 2024-2025 school year, students enrolled in the Crib to College program will receive half-day instruction at no cost to parents.

The eight early childcare facilities currently participating in the pipeline program are:

  • Dreamland Learning Center
  • The Little Club Development Center
  • Kid’s Cottage Child Development Center
  • Kidz First Child Care Center
  • RGV Learning Institute
  • Gingerbread House Learning Center Montessori
  • A+ Apple Tree Academy
  • Kidz Crusade Children & Pre-K Academy

The three Mission CISD elementary schools participating the pipeline program are:

  • R. Cavazos Elementary - Health and Science Academy
  • O. O'Grady Elementary - School of Humanities and Social Science
