Transition Services are a coordinated set of activities specially designed to help students with disabilities successfully move from school to their next steps in life. These activities are all about improving your child's academic and practical skills, so they can smoothly transition to things like college, job training, finding a job, continuing education, adult services, independent living, or being an active part of the community

At Mission CISD, transition services are a personalized roadmap for your child's journey beyond the classroom. We focus on what makes your child unique – their strengths, preferences, and interests. These services cover everything from tailored instruction and extra support services to hands-on experiences in the community. We also help set goals for your child's future employment and adult life, all while acquiring essential daily living skills. If needed, we provide a practical vocational evaluation. Whether it's through specially designed instruction or additional support services, our goal is to ensure your child with a disability gets the most out of their education.
