hello this training is on Atomic learning a professional development website that the mission CISD Shake purchase for its staff members at students and also Ford's parents what is atomic learning Atomic learning is an online professional development with $50,000 tauriel's and workshops and even projects for our staff and students to utilize to grow in the area of Technology I'm it's it's a great site it can be accessed 24 hours a day 7 days a week from home from school on any device and has internet so we encourage you to you know whether you want to grow professionally to go personally we encourage you to use it and we ask that you encourage your students to encourage them and and you know encourage their parents to utilize this professional development whether it's at home or at school it's there so let's go ahead and utilizes this great tool so how do I log into Atomic learning can't just go to www.com that won't work what you can do is you can go to staff on arm ECISD website or going to go to staff and look for web apps once you find web apps you're going to look for a teacher staff links then you can drop and find Atomic learning  so how do I log into Atomic learning what is my username what is my password all staff members have individual usernames and individual passwords how do you login you use your active directory credentials how do you log into your however you log into your computer that's what you're going to use to log into Atomic learning so I'm going to go ahead and sign in now and you can see here if you if you once you do find the website you can create a shortcut on your desktop it's ww.w. Atomic learning.com for k12 login forward slash mcisd so we're going to go ahead and log in this is going to be your main in her face you're going to have five tabs here that you're going to use to navigate your first have is going to be search there's a couple of different ways to search you can search by  my name's I say I want to learn how to use PowerPoint better you know I want to become more Shannon PowerPoint I'm going to go ahead and search for PowerPoint  and you're going to see that there's a lot of trainings are a lot of videos tutorials on PowerPoint and they give you different options like do you have to version 2002 version 2007 version 2008 depending on what version I have any pending on what level you're at are you at intro or you at intermediate are you at at Advanced I'm thinking I want to eat and see what they have here they're going to have very specific category so you know what I already know how to get started I already know how you know the presentation Basics I want to look at finalizing the presentation and you're going to see they have very specific videos you don't have to sit here for an hour and a half trying to find a specific portion of the video they're going to they're going to be broken and you can leave it there anywhere from one to two minute long two minute song  very very quick very easy and let you know what I like this video but I may forget you know how the steps are you know what I don't have time to watch this now but I definitely this is something I want to look at you're just going to go click the star here and that'll save it to your favorites going to go in and go back to Atomic learning the homepage I'm going to click on the favorites Tab and you're going to see you have some of my favorites in here that I've saved Nickelback to search because there are other ways to search you know what I'm not looking for something specific but I do you want to see what's available for me to learn I'm going to go to all applications it's going to give you a stroll down money when you can just go through and look play the things that are popular you know Blackboard if your Eevee or students going into College Blackboard is something that they may need to know Camtasia the program will using to record this video there's a lot of different things that are available to use just depending on turn what you're wanting to tell learn Edmodo I know my big campus is on here XL fat if you know what your student of you have a child that's going into college they're going to need to know information on financial aid this is a great tool to show your juniors in your seniors start planning for financial aid to go to college  how many Garden click on that something I want to look at and you're going to see that they have getting started using forms finishing up and again they have very specific videos for your children or me giving yourself if you're thinking about going back to school in addition to Applications you can look at Topix technology calculators curriculum and again this is all relating to technology and unfortunately they're not going to have a do-it-yourself video on Starlito it's going to be all technology  I can go by categories how to tutorials workshops projects if you want to really narrow and then I want to show you here brass by standards or iste  so you can actually look by your by Tieks I'm going to go in and go down to Texas and I'm going to search for Science and Technology oops nothing there so I'm just going to go ahead and look in technology and here they have broken it down grades K through 2 can you can go through and look for that  all the way up to 7th or the 7th grade teak and so these are going to be little projects that you can actually and you can see this isn't a PC version version iMac version  so there's different ways to search for whatever it is that you're looking for so that's search we already looked at favorites my training your trainings that you're in a way maybe push down to you from the district level or from your administrator you have a signed training here assessment that you've taken your portfolio would have you completed what have you done and recommended training these are going to be trainings at me come wrecking my the district at some point so it will be very wise to get familiar with atomic learning Spotlight Cesar just tutorials or videos that are very popular tutorials and videos that are requested a lot and these actually change periodically we also have custom Training and this is where you're going to find projects for your students for the summer the instructional Tech She department created is curriculum that group together to hit the technology application teks for grades K through 8 you just little projects that that can be done you have K through 233-533-8628 and they really just get the students to get on a computer and work through a project it's it's a really really great tool and maybe a little bit of come look for the students because it may be a little bit above their level but it's the way to get them to learn we want our students to be at the top technology Technologies or future and you know if we don't prepare them who's going to prepare them so you going to go in and you go into one of these projects and there's going to be a little videos for them to watch and a an actual less look for them to do so this is really really good for students going to go ahead and go back to Atomic learning feature trainings or me versus YouTube for educators Workshop is a lot of great things on here you know if if you have a child at home when you don't know what Facebook is all about there's a tutorial for that so just depending on what you're wanting to do there we do have customer support if there's something you're looking for and you can't did an atomic learning this company is very flexible if you request it though create a tutorial for you they've already done that for our district already done which one of our coordinators it's a great tool you know they may not have everything but it's pretty close to it and if they don't have it they'll get it for you so let's say you know you already watch this video you've logged into Atomic learning if you're having trouble navigating there's some getting started tips here in the corner the left hand side how do your students login your librarian in your technician are going to have a list of it's just going to be a generic login for an hour work I'm getting all the students and individual account but at this point they can share an account and get in there and any new do some do some learning already so you can contact your librarian or your technician and they should have those student login username and passwords in addition to the parents the parents also have a generic username and password to login to Atomic learning your librarian and your technician should also have that do you have they need to be in and where their Advocates so if we don't get them to that level then we're failing them and this is a great tool this is a great tool so we really really is something we've paid for so we really really need to utilize it thank you
