Mission CISD Schools Recognized for Promoting Healthy Eating


MISSION, TEXAS (MARCH 20, 2024) - In a proud moment for the Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD), seven local elementary schools have been honored with the prestigious 2023 Pear-fection Award for their exceptional dedication to promoting healthy eating through the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.

These schools have gone above and beyond by providing a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables, effectively managing awarded funds, integrating locally grown Texas products, and embedding crucial nutrition education into their curriculum.
