Migrant students complete educational summer programs

                Mission, Texas- Migrant students from Mission High School (MHS) and Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) have spent six weeks of their summer vacations taking advantage of special programs designed to help them get high school credit, concurrent enrollment credits, internships, and experience what it is like to live on a college campus. The students participated in either the Migrant University Summer Experience (MUSE) program at The University of Texas-Pan American or the Migrant Academic Achievement Residential Summer (MAARS) program at Texas State Technical College.

                Students who completed the MAARS program are: Manuel Alarcon, MHS; Mario Alberto Maldonado, MHS; Kaylyn Delafuente, MHS; Marcela Rodriguez, MHS; Luis David Tijerina, MHS; Julian Diaz, MHS.

                Students who completed the MUSE program are: David Flores, MHS; Adrian Silva, MHS; Marleen Diaz, MHS; Diego Bustillos, MHS; Clara Acosta, MHS; Ninette Garcia, MHS; Jacqueline Gonzalez, VMHS; Marcos Cabrera, VMHS; Ezequiel Gonzalez, VMHS; Vanessa Martinez, VMHS; Vanessa Barrera, VMHS.
