Members of the Mission FFA Chapter gathered this past Saturday at the Mission High School Agricultural Science Building to participate in a special Leadership Camp. The day started with a guest speaker. Former Mission FFA member and current Precinct 3 Constable Larry Gallardo delivered a powerful message to the students. Gallardo drew upon his experiences from high school through his current employment to encourage the pursuit of college degrees and community leadership. Gallardo also spoke about how his high school FFA experiences helped him in college and his career pursuits.
Members spent most of the rest of their Saturday attending hands-on leadership related sessions where they learned about: the FFA organization, team building, supervised agricultural experiences, and opportunities they will have as active members in the Mission FFA Chapter.
