Mission CISD to showcase student projects

Mission, Texas- Want to see what some of Mission CISD’s (Consolidated Independent School District) best and brightest students have been doing in school lately? The place to be will be Mission High School on Saturday, May 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the Fourth Annual Advanced Academics Fair.

Each elementary school through high school will have display areas that will showcase student projects. The projects are researched and created by students served through the district’s advanced academic services programs. The displays will include multi-media presentation by students who will also be at the display areas to answer questions and explain their projects.

The Mission High School Neuhaus Gym will be used as the main exhibit hall. The nearby Band Hall will be used for demonstrations by robotics teams. The Destination Imagination team demonstrations will be using the nearby Choir Room. Mims Elementary School students will present their human “Wax Museum” in the Mariachi Room.

The event is open to the public and provides a good opportunity to see some of the exciting areas being explored by Mission CISD students as they prepare for college, careers, and life.
