You Only Live Once (YOLO) Be Drug Free is the official theme for this year’s Red Ribbon Week. District schools and departments have all sorts of fun, learning activities planned for the week that focus on living a drug free life. Alton Memorial Jr. High kicked things off early, with a special observance in their butterfly garden on Friday, October 21. The Alton Police and Fire Departments joined students and the AMJH junior officers. The junior officers provided a special presentation on what Red Ribbon Week is about. The program also included a balloon release.
