District and campus officials worked quickly and closely with Mission and Alton Police Departments to identify the source of a rumor of a threatening nature reported earlier today, and it is being addressed with the individual.
While officials do not believe there is any other credible threat, district officials are taking measures to step up security at Mission High School and Veterans Memorial High School for Friday, Feb. 17, as a precaution, and to help address any possible student or parent concerns.
District officials would like to thank those who came forward with their concerns about this possible security issue as it helped officials address it quickly. It takes everyone working together to keep Mission CISD schools a safe place of learning.
