Mission, Texas- For the second year in a row, Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) teacher, Fernando Perez, has received some special recognition. He received a Reader’s Choice Award for Favorite Teacher by The Monitor.
The Reader’s Choice Awards are based on ballots sent in to the newspaper in a variety of categories ranging from businesses, to municipalities, to educators.
This is the fourth year Perez has been at VMHS as one of their Agricultural Sciences teachers. Prior to that, he had served the district at Castro Elementary School and Cantu Elementary School. He started with Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) in August of 1997.
