Mission, Texas - For the first time since 1935, Mission High School (MHS) Theatre advances to Regional One Act Play (OAP) competition in the top 6A Division. The MHS Encore Theatre One Act Play Team is advancing out of the Area level competitions into the Regional finals to be held Tuesday, April 17th. MHS ENCORE Theatre is performing The 39 Steps by Patrick Barlow and John Buchan.
In addition to advancing to Regional OAP Finals, several of the MHS Encore Theatre Cast and Crew earned special recognitions at the Area competition. They include: Abigail Rodriguez, Alyssa Sanchez, Marion Rodriguez, Natalie De Leon, Giselle De Leon, Special Tech Award; Mason Smith - Loftus, All-Star Cast Award; Sebastian Trejo, Honorable Mention All-Star Cast Award; Xavian Flores, Honorable Mention All-Star Cast Award.
The MHS Encore Theatre One Act Play Team is scheduled to perform at the Regional OAP Finals on Tuesday, April 17th. The Regional One Act Play Competition is being held in San Antonio at Southside High School.
