MHS student attends Baylor Summer Camp

Mission High School had two students attend the Baylor Summer Band Camp this summer for the first in the school’s history. The camp is not only one of the most prestigious camps in Texas, but in the entire country.  Many of the students at this camp are students who have already earned positions in the TMEA All-State Bands. Isla Coronado placed first chair at the placement auditions.

This result meant that she was principal flute and piccolo in both the Wind Ensemble and the Orchestra.  Isla is a highly sought-after rising senior who will have many colleges to choose from as she continues her development and successful auditions such as this one. As a junior, Isla was the first alternate to the TMEA All-State Bands and is starting her third year as Drum Major for the Mission High School Marching Band.
