Mission, Texas- Over a dozen students at Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) have earned Fundamentals of Animal Science industry certifications endorsed by Elanco. The industry certification is made available to students as an added way to improve upon their industry knowledge and marketability after graduation. The online course work is designed to provide students a solid understanding of animal science that includes genetics, reproduction, nutrition, and health management.
The students who most recently completed the certification are: Brianna Flores, Nadia Chapa, Anahi Chavez, Daniella De La Garza, David Gutierrez, Gloria Hernandez, Jose Hoyuela, Caleb Pena, Ricardo Polanco, Maria Salazar, Ana Salinas, Michael Sanchez, Kassandra Valdivia.
The certification includes 18 modules that must each be passed with a minimum grade before moving on to the 100-question final certification exam.
