One of the popular activities some of our elementary schools do this time of year combines reading, creativity, and pumpkins. Students create a decorated pumpkin based upon one of their favorite characters from a book.
These story-based creations (and many more) are on display at the Escobar/Rios Elementary School library this week as a part of their pumpkin parade.
