Four-Way Test Speech Contest

Veterans Memorial High School student, Alex Hinojosa earned first place in the Rotary Club of Mission Four-Way Test Speech contest.  He now advances to their area level of competition later this month. Fellow VMHS student, Tomas Garcia came in third place in the contest.

Participants prepare speeches of five to seven minutes in length. The topic of the speech must be specifically subjected to the Rotary Club’s Four-Way Test:

·         First- Is it the truth?

·         Second- Is it fair to all concerned?

·         Third- Will it build goodwill and better friendship?

·         Fourth- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

In addition to this annual contest, the Rotary Club of Mission recognizes outstanding high school students each month.
