hi everyone welcome to another Corner conversation I'm Craig Burley public relations director for Mission CISD and today we are joined by mosquito gagement apartments near the district information because we have kind of a unique opportunity coming up for our parents are very very excited on February 29th so you still have a couple of weeks to plan accordingly about what we were going to be doing this here we have a wonderful opportunity for our parents at bike having a parent conference we will basically be putting these posters around at our schools and our central office our community different Community areas also where you'll be able to see some of these flyers so in Spanish and English where you are going to also see the sessions that we are going to be we have big posters also that we are putting up in Spanish and in English for everybody also to admire and be reminded because it is three weeks away it's a Saturday and it is from 7:30 in the morning till about new but to provide our parents just different areas of concern of a dove help often we do not know where to go what to ask and this great opportunity for parents to come and join us and learn wonderful things that are happening with her students at our schools also information that we have one thing to keep in mind too cuz I know the posters and we've all social media posting about the parent conference it is being held at Mission high school but this is open to any and every parent with in Mission CISD and we've got over 13 different sessions that'll be going on throughout good morning and so you'll be able to attend to three different sessions during that morning and you'll be able to choose topics of interest and there's a lot of different subjects that you'll have to choose from yes so some of them some of them which of the meteorite so some of them are one of my favorite where all of them are there about 13 sessions some of them include job opportunities we want to concentrate on off in the transition from middle school to high school and then High School someway somehow our parents the kind of just people don't take care of it they're going to know what to do this particular session educates Us in both bilingual Spanish and English how we transition from high-school to the workforce to academic as we will also have college Reddit is so one of the interesting what about this job opportunities over this session is that not only will we be helping you with the transition from student going into the the workforce or will also be educating are all kinds of what kind of opportunities we have for employment here at our district so I'm excited include mental health session Seibel cyberbullying information run or gt programs bilingual programs I'm special education programs attendance and be going on before the actual sessions begin with got like 50 who's coming in for that as well again free registration for it was he starts early early at about 7:30 in the morning but the first session won't begin until one of the things though that you might consider hopefully everybody you you share this this information with other parents here in our district is you can do pre-registration that are schools so if your child is attending Alton Elementary Veterans Memorial High School or Mims Elementary or Kenneth White Junior High you can contact our family and Community engagement liaison starphase Representatives at each of our schools and which leads everybody know the name of their liaison but you can go to them and then they are going pre-register you show that you can just come in to sign up and you'll be ready to go and have that time to explore the health ER Trinity that we have for them so we're excited you can go already sign up sign up on your school sign up with us here at central office we're excited come see us it's going to be wonderful opportunities right now as a spring semester is rolling in you'll see friends of your children a counseling 101 here on their stresses of testing their their stress is about what Will life take them or where will I take them or simply not wanting to go to school because they are exhaust dead end is the spring semester is that kind of time but you know what these sessions will help you discover ReDiscover new ideas and how to better and better your child opportune he's in education the workforce mental health some ideas and and you can even kind of talk to other parents about and have those discussions at the sessions as well question answer opportunities wonderful opportunities for every single one of our parents out there so we're excited we invite you we are looking forward to seeing you and come see us Mission high school but again it's open to all of our parents 7:30 in the morning but you have to get there at 7:30 but you do need to be there before 9 because we are going to start the sessions on time for second place again we do have daycare oh yeah for those that don't have an option for that so we welcome everybody hopefully we'll see you February 29th and then also in the next Corner conversation
