Welcome to the Testing & Evaluation Department

The Testing and Evaluation Department oversees all state mandated assessments which include:
  • State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR)
  • Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS)
  • Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS)
The mission of the Testing and Evaluation Department is to oversee the state accountability assessment program and adhere to all the policies and procedures. The department’s primary responsibility is to facilitate and support the campus administrations before, during, and after all state assessments and to ensure the integrity of the state accountability assessment program.

Additionally, the training of campus personnel in charge of testing and evaluation is also handled by the Testing and Evaluation Department.
