One-Time Sign-On Incentive of $2,500: Mission CISD is offering a One-Time Sign-On Incentive of $2,500 to Highly Qualified Teachers in the High Need Areas of: Elementary Bilingual, Secondary Mathematics, Secondary Science, and Secondary CTE Health Science Technology. Upon employment with the District, the sign- on incentive is a “one time” incentive to be paid to new hires who meet all state certification requirements in these high need areas. Teachers who hold a probationary certificate or who belong to an Alternative Certification Program will not qualify for this sign-on incentive. The sign-on incentive would be paid in two payments, with $1,250 being paid at the beginning of the year and the remaining $1,250 being issued at the end of the school year. Qualified teachers hired after October 31st and before March 1st will qualify for half of the sign-on incentive.
Observations: Due to the high volume of requests, community members wishing to complete observation hours for Substitute Certification, college course work, ACP hours, etc., must reside in the Mission CISD School Zone area in order for requests to be granted. You must provide a valid Driver's License and verification of enrollment in entity requesting completion of observation hours.
