go Patriots welcome to the counseling department at Veterans Memorial High School I miss pancit very nice to meet you welcome to my space we need to talk this is serious September is National Suicide Prevention awareness month as a team the counter Department how to share with you your friends and your family that there was help and always someone who is ready to listen in a judgement free zone this is serious side is never the answer or quick fix for any situation or problem research has shown that suicide is a form of communication it is saying something to someone it could be an expression of helplessness hopelessness a cry for help get rid of a bad part seeking punishment or the opposite of what his punishment is mentally maybe in the dark fruit and we feel that there's no solution to the problem or situation that you're in but I guarantee you that there's always light at the end of the tunnel this is serious suicide is the third leading cause of death among adolescents gay teens are four times more likely than straight teens to attempt suicide in Texas every 2 hours someone dies suicide stop think and ask for help the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours 7 days a week near connect at lifeline were there one 1-800 number at 273 talk stop think and ask for help if you're part of the lgbtq community you can get help 24/7 and Trevor project you can text start 267-867-8312 or text you can also chat with a pervert at. Org or you can also utiliser Lifeline lifeline 866-488-7386 if you or someone you know is an emergency call the National Suicide Prevention lifeline eight hundred two seven three talk if you suspect that someone's going to hurt themselves harmed if those or you feel that you're going to harm yourself please dial 911 immediately you can also use it will you text Nani to 741-741 the RGB has a crisis hotline you can get a hold of them at one 877-289-7199 please know that you can always reach out to any of the school counselors you can reach out to me this is a judgement free zone in together as a team is not a single problem. We cannot find a solution thank you so much and don't forget to stop and think and ask for help
