Mission CISD Robotics teams attend FIRST RGV Robotics Kick-off

Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) had eight robotics teams at the FIRST RGV Robotics Kick-off on Saturday, September 7 at McAllen High School. This year the game challenges for all levels will have a Stars Wars theme and will be using hashtags associated with this particular theme. 

 

Mission CISD had the most representation at this event with a total of eight schools attending. 

The district’s four junior highs (Alton Memorial Jr. High, K. White Jr. High, Mission Jr, and R. Cantu Jr. High), three high schools (Mission High School, Veterans Memorial High School and Mission Collegiate High School) and one elementary (Cavazos Elementary) were all in attendance.

 

Two of the Robo-Rangers teams that advanced to Worlds were also recognized for their accomplishments at the Kick-off. The teams recognized were AMJH FLL #42827 FIRST World Championship Qualifier and Lil Robo-Rangers FLL Jr. #12275 from R. Cavazos Elementary a two time FIRST World Championship Qualifier.
