MHS FBLA members excel at State Leadership Conference

Mission High School had thirteen members advance to the FBLA State Leadership Conference by virtue of placing at the FBLA Area IV competition. Members then traveled to the FBLA State Conference held in Galveston, TX on March 23-25, 2022. Advancing as National Qualifiers for the third year in a row is 3rd place – Database Design & Applications – Jorge Salinas and first year 2nd place – Word Processing – Noe Peña. Serving as an alternate for Business Communications is Adrian Ayala.


The Mission HS FBLA members that placed at Area and advanced to State are: Alicia Balderama – Accounting I, Victor Mendoza – Personal Finance, Delaney Caceres – Cyber Security, Ethan Caceres – Introduction to Business Communications, Desiree Gonzalez – Introduction to Financial Math, Adrian Ayala – Business Communications, America Perales, Sophia Hernandez and Camila Urquizo – Health Care Administration, Noe Peña – Spreadsheet Applications, Santiago Hernandez – Business Communications, Jorge Salinas – Database Design & Application, and Angel Almaraz – Word Processing.

 

The State also recognized Mission High School FBLA contributing to the March of Dimes and received 2nd Place.  They also received 2nd Place for the FBLA Endowment Fund of $1 per member every year since its inception in the 1990’s. Noe Peña was recognized as a Texas FBLA Who’s Who Member. Mr. O’caña, Mission High School Adviser, was recognized for his 42 years of service to the FBLA organization.

 

 

The National Qualifiers will head to the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL on  June 29 to July 2, 2022. Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the largest career student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 240,000 members prepare for careers in business.
