MCHS students earn Advanced Placement recognition

Mission, Texas- Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) had a total of five current students and eight 2021-2022 graduates earn Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar recognition for their exceptional achievement on AP exams.

 

The College Board’s AP program provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous, college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP exams. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on AP exams. 

 

One student qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams. MCHS junior, Ricardo Ochoa, earned this recognition.

 

MCHS students that qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher are: Ricardo Ochoa, Dana Gonzalez, Gabriel Salinas, Luis Martinez, and Lukas Perez. The following students are 2021-2022 graduates that also earned AP Scholars recognition: Danilee Alaniz, Paulina Arizpe-Romo, Mareli Armijo, Eric Calderon, Evelyn Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez, Keyla Pulido, and Sergio Reyes.
