Mission FFA students advance to Area competitions

Mission, Texas- After a very successful showing at the Citrus Valley District FFA Leadership Development Events held in Mercedes, TX, the Mission High School (MHS) FFA Chapter has six teams of students who are advancing to the Area level of competition to be held at the FMB Fairgrounds in Robstown, TX on Monday, November 21. A total of 25 MHS FFA members make up the six teams that will represent MHS and the Citrus Valley District FFA at the Area contest.

At the District event, the following four teams earned first place: Junior Quiz Team, Senior Quiz Team, Senior Skills Team, Senior Chapter Conducting. The other two teams advancing are: Agriculture Issues Team and Jr. Skills Team. Each earned second place.

Other high performing teams included: Spanish Creed Speaker, third place; Radio Broadcasting Team, fifth place; Job Interview, sixth place. 

All first and second-place teams advance to the Area level of competitions.
