Junior high anti-bullying art contest winners announced

Mission, Texas- In support of the district’s anti-bullying awareness efforts, Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) held an art contest for junior high school students. The goal was to engage the students creatively in helping raise awareness about bullying and being more inclusive.

The winning entry includes a “No Place For Hate” message and was created by Jamie (Luka) Casanova from Alton Memorial Jr. High School. Her artwork will be turned into posters printed and put up in district schools.

The other two top-place finishers are Kaylee Gonzalez and Emily Garza. All three students received art supplies to encourage their artistic endeavors further.
