Cruz is proudest of earning the highest honor a high school musician can earn; becoming an All-State Musician. He is also proud of his music composing skills that were used when he composed a piece of music for the MHS 2022 Christmas concert. He is active in the Varsity Wind Ensemble, Marching Band (2-time head drum major), jazz band, and banda. He plans to earn a bachelors degrees in music education and sound engineering. Then he hopes to get a masters in conducting and doctorate in composition. His strong academics and love of music are well known and continue to drive many of his activities. Cruz is the son of Jesus and Laura Segovia.
