Angel says he is proud of placing second at the BPA National Leadership Conference in the intermediate Word Processing category in 2021-2022. His extra-curricular activities include: robotics, UIL, varsity soccer, BPA, FBLA, RGV Lead, and video games. Becoming a video game programmer for a company like Nintendo is what he has his eyes set on for the future. Angel is known to be persistent, especially when facing a challenge. He is not afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone. He knows the encouragement of his family and friends play a role in his success. He is the son of Carla and Alfredo Almaraz.
