MHS student advances to the FBLA National Conference

 A total of 19 Mission High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members advanced to the FBLA State Leadership Conference by virtue of placing at the FBLA Area IV Leadership Conference. The FBLA State Conference was held in Galveston, TX on March 22-24, 2023. MHS also had Noe Peña named as a National Qualifier for earning 1st place in Database Design & Applications. The FBLA National Leadership Conference will be held in Atlanta, GA from June 25 to July 01, 2023.

 

The MHS FBLA members that placed in Area and advanced to State are Angel Almaraz– Spreadsheet Applications, Adrian Ayala– Business Communications, Valerie Ayala– Intro. To Business Communications, Alicia Balderama – Accounting II, Delaney Caceres– Cyber Security, Ethan Caceres– Personal Finance, Joselin Chavez– Business Law, Clarissa Cortez– Word Processing, Abigail Godinez– Health Care Administration, Desiree Gonzalez– Business Calculations, Victor Mendoza– Business Communications, Thomaz Mutanen– Personal Finance, Noe Peña– Database Design & Application, America Perales– Health Care Administration, Derrik Ramirez– Economics, Claudette Silva– Intro. To Business Communications, Alexa Tovar– Business Law, Aliya Tovar– Human Resource Management, and Camila Urquizo– Organizational Leadership.

 

Mission High School FBLA was also recognized and earned a 1st Place at State for contributing to the March of Dimes and to the FBLA Endowment Fund of $2 per member every year since its inception in the 1990’s. Victor Mendoza was recognized as a Texas FBLA Who’s Who Member. Mr. O’caña, Mission High School Adviser, was recognized for his 43 years of service to the FBLA organization.

 

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the largest career student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 240,000 members prepare for careers in business. Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. About 15,000 members are expected to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference.
