Mission CISD Transportation is among the 100 Best Fleets in the Americas

The Mission Consolidated Independent School District (MCISD) Transportation department has been recognized as one of the 100 Best Fleets in the Americas by the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA). Mission CISD was one of only two school districts in the nation recognized with this honor.

The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas program recognizes peak-performing public and commercial fleet operations. This program identifies and encourages ever-increasing levels of performance improvement and innovation within the fleet industry.

Several areas of interest were considered for the designation within the 100 Best Fleets in the Americas. NAFA has a 12-point criteria system for excellence set to make this determination. They viewed areas of accountability, technology use, collaboration, creativity, celebration, evidence of high trust culture, performance recognition, competitive pricing, quick efficient turnaround, doing it right the first time, resource stewardship and staff development.

NAFA’s purpose is to help foster pride in the industry, build recognition within the national fleet community, encourage more individuals to consider fleet operations as a career choice and increase levels of productivity and operational effectiveness. The 100 Best Fleets contest has been running for over 20 years and has recognized North America’s most efficient and effective public fleet operations and is the “Gold Standard '' of public fleet recognition programs.
