Mission High School Commencement Ceremony

The Mission High School graduation class of 2023 will get their diplomas on May 28, at the Payne Arena in Hidalgo. The commencement ceremony will officially begin at 2:00 p.m. The seniors will enter with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”

            Ashley Melissa Osorio Valdez will lead the presentation of colors. Angel Eduardo Almaraz will lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Sebastian Santos Balderas will provide an invocation, followed by the official welcome by Delaney Arlette Caceres. Mia Adame and Adrian Ayala will introduce special guests in attendance.

            There will be four addresses during the program. The first will be by Mission High School Principal Jose E. Mejia II, followed by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carol G. Perez. Noe Peña will give the salutatory address, followed by the valedictory address by Ana Sofia Rivera. Superintendent Dr. Perez will provide the official certification of graduates, after which, the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award the diplomas to the members of the class of 2023.

            Madison Lynn Garcia will provide a benediction. Brianna Lizette Becerra will lead the MHS “Alma Mater”, and Niobe Aaliyah Solis will lead the tassel ceremony.

            Marisssa Alexandra Sandoval will lead the eagle pinning ceremony. The graduates will then depart to “War March of the Priest.”
