Mission CISD prepares for graduation ceremonies

Veterans Memorial High School

The Veterans Memorial High School Class of 2025 will receive their diplomas on May 24, at the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The commencement ceremony will officially begin at 9:00 a.m. Seniors will enter with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”

The presentation of colors will be led by David Leal Jr. The Veterans Memorial High School Choir will sing the National Anthem. Z’nia Beniza Medina will lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Alejandro Ivan Rivera will provide the official welcome. Vianae Salinas and Monika Estella Regalado will provide the introduction of special guests.

There will be four addresses during the program. The first will be Veterans Memorial High School Principal Raul Luna, followed by Mission CISD Superintendent of schools Dr. Cris Valdez. Mikaela Jo Segundo will give the salutatorian address, followed by the valedictorian address by Victoria Saraí Olivarez.

Principal Raul Luna will follow with the presentation of class. Dr. Valdez will provide the official certification of graduates, after which, the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award the diplomas to the members of the Class of 2025.

Veterans Memorial High School Alma Mater will be led by Juan Carlos Ponce Jr. Jaden Alexander Garza will lead the tassel ceremony followed by Vivian Kay Salinas leading the Patriot Pinning Ceremony.  The graduates will depart to “War March of the Priest.

 

Mission High School

The Mission High School Class of 2025 will receive their diplomas on May 24, at the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The commencement ceremony will officially begin at 2:00 p.m. Seniors will enter with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Randy Eliam Sanchez will lead the presentation of colors. Joslyn Marie Rodriguez will lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. Daniela Guadalupe Tamez will provide the official welcome. Andrea Mykayla Salinas and Ezequiel Mendoza Jr. will introduce special guests in attendance.

There will be four addresses during the program. The first will be Mission High School Principal Jose E. Mejia II, followed by Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cris Valdez. Sarah Abigail Castillo-Ramirez will give the salutatory address, followed by the valedictory address by Triston Andrew Escalera.

Dr. Valdez will provide the official certification of graduates, after which, the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award the diplomas to the members of the Class of 2025.

Raul Rios Jr. will lead the Mission High School “Alma Mater”, and Thomas Jonah Aparicio will lead the tassel ceremony.

Shamya Gissel Canchola-Medina will lead the eagle pinning ceremony. The graduates will then depart to “War March of the Priest.”

 

Mission Collegiate High School

The Mission Collegiate High School Class of 2025 will receive their diplomas on May 24, at the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The commencement ceremony beings at 6:00 p.m. Seniors will enter with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance”, and the presentation of colors will follow led by Lael J. Gonzalez.

Erika A. Estrada-Hernandez will lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Mellany J. Rivas-Lopez will present the Knight Legacy, followed by the official welcome by Lucian J. Sustaita. Bryanna Itzel Heredia & Cinthya A. Aguas Reyes will introduce special guests in attendance.

There will be four addresses during the program. The first will be by Mission Collegiate High School Principal, Ana Lisa Flores, followed by Mission CISD Superintendent of schools, Dr. Cris Valdez. The salutatory address will be given by Joseph I. M. Belton followed by the valedictory address by Garylee Nuñez.

Dr. Valdez will provide the official certification of graduates, after which, the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award the diplomas to the graduates of the class of 2025.

Cesar Tovar will lead the tassel ceremony, followed by a special presentation by Esteban Reyna.

Ethan Adame will present the "Alma Mater”, after which the graduates will depart to “War March of the Priest.”
