MISSION, TEXAS (JULY 21, 2025) – We are counting down the days to proudly showcase what Mission CISD is all about at our collaborative Back to School Bash, an exciting community celebration that brings together families, schools, and local partners for a memorable evening of connection, support, and school spirit.
In partnership with the City of Mission, Driscoll Health Plan, Mission Police Department, and Sharyland ISD, this dynamic event is designed to celebrate the start of the 2025–2026 school year while providing meaningful resources for families across our region.
Event Overview

Inside the Mission Event Center:
- Free Immunizations
- Backpack Distribution (3,000 clear/mesh backpacks provided by Driscoll Health Plan)
- Student Registration Station for Mission CISD and Sharyland ISD
Outside the Event Center:
- Free Haircuts
- Student Performances
- Carnival Rides
- Foam Party
- Dinosaur Show & Petting Zoo

School Supply Distribution from Mission CISD, Sharyland ISD, Mission PD, and various vendors
Mission CISD will help distribute over 9,000 school supply items, which equals 1,500 supply bags, to support students as they prepare for the new school year. A districtwide QR code will be available at all Mission CISD campus booths to help families with pre-registration, and a student registration station will be available inside the venue for on-the-spot enrollment assistance.
This collaborative celebration is shaping up to be one of the largest events of the year and a powerful kickoff to the 2025–2026 school year. Special thanks to the Mission CISD Board of Trustees, the Superintendent’s Cabinet, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cris Valdez, and our entire community for making Mission CISD a district that families are proud to call home.
