FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MISSION, TEXAS (February 3, 2026) - Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) will host a Board Candidate Information Session on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, to provide community members with an overview of what it means to serve as a trustee and how board governance supports student success.
The information session will take place from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Mission CISD Central Office (1201 Bryce Drive) in the Eagle Staff Development Room.
“This session is about opening the door and welcoming anyone who is interested in learning more about board service and the important work of district governance,” said Dr. Cris King, Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools. “We want our community to feel informed, empowered, and confident about the role trustees play in setting priorities and supporting student outcomes.”
Attendees will learn more about:
- Board roles and responsibilities
- Operating procedures and governance
- Goal setting and district priorities
- How board service supports student outcomes
Community members who are considering running for the board, or who simply want to better understand how school board governance works, are encouraged to attend.
