MISSION, TEXAS (April 23, 2026) – Great music and a great cause set the stage for an unforgettable evening of giving. The Boots and Bling Fundraising Concert, hosted by the Education Foundation of Mission CISD, brought the community together for a memorable evening dedicated to supporting student success across the district.
Guests enjoyed a lively night filled with live music, dinner, and both silent and live auctions, all in support of expanding opportunities for Mission CISD students and staff.
Entertainment for the evening featured performances by Derek Spence as “The King of Country” George Strait tribute band, along with Southern County Line and Gary Hobbs, creating an atmosphere that kept attendees energized throughout the night.
The Boots and Bling Fundraising Concert made a meaningful impact across Mission CISD, bringing together over 800 guests and raising approximately $100,000 in support of student and staff opportunities throughout the district.
Funds raised during Boots and Bling will directly benefit Mission CISD through initiatives such as:
- student scholarships
- enhanced classroom resources
- innovative teaching grants
These contributions help bring new ideas to life in classrooms and ensure students have access to meaningful educational experiences.
