MISSION, TEXAS — Mission CISD is proud to celebrate the graduating Class of 2026 as students from Mission High School, Veterans Memorial High School, and Mission Collegiate High School prepare to walk the stage at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, on May 30. Family members, friends, staff, and community supporters will gather to honor the achievements, leadership, and bright futures of this year’s graduates during three commencement ceremonies filled with tradition and celebration.
Mission High School
The Mission High School Class of 2026 will receive their diplomas on May 30 at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The commencement ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m., with seniors entering to the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”
Jazmine Christene Hernández will lead the presentation of colors, followed by Matthew Emmanuel Cortez leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Adrianna Yvette Cienega leading the National Anthem. Adam Andrew Avila will provide the official welcome, and Alexia Sarai Galvan will introduce special guests in attendance.
The program will feature four addresses, beginning with remarks from Mission High School Principal Jose E. Mejia II, followed by Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cris King. Savanna Jo Avila will deliver the salutatory address, followed by the valedictory address by Laila Mayelee Rubio.
Dr. King will provide the official certification of graduates, after which the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award diplomas to the members of the Class of 2026.
Michael Vincent Gonzalez Jr. will lead the Mission High School “Alma Mater,” and Leon Diego Villarreal will lead the tassel ceremony. Jenna Lorane Cortez will lead the eagle pinning ceremony. Graduates will then depart to “War March of the Priest.”
Veterans Memorial High School
The Veterans Memorial High School Class of 2026 will receive their diplomas on May 30 at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The commencement ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m., with seniors entering to the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”
Daniel Enrique Yañez will lead the presentation of colors. Evelyn Castorena will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge, and the Veterans Memorial High School Choir will perform the National Anthem. Victoria Mya Solis will provide the official welcome, while Amanda Garza and Benjamin Daniel Mendez will introduce special guests in attendance.
The program will feature four addresses, beginning with remarks from Veterans Memorial High School Principal Raul Luna, followed by Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cris King. Isabella Angelique Canizalez will deliver the salutatory address, followed by the valedictory address by Hallen Lenguyen.
Dr. King will provide the official certification of graduates, after which the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award diplomas to the members of the Class of 2026.
Viancy Asinahi Guerrero Limas will lead the Veterans Memorial High School “Alma Mater,” and Itzel Amaris Garcia will lead the tassel ceremony. Raelee Marie Martinez will lead the patriot pinning ceremony. Graduates will then depart to “War March of the Priest.”
Mission Collegiate High School
The Mission Collegiate High School Class of 2026 will receive their diplomas on May 30 at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The commencement ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m., with seniors entering to the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”
Justin Perez will lead the presentation of colors. Andres C. Garcia King will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge, and the National Anthem performed by Isabelle Mckernan.
Elias Gomez will provide the official welcome, while Daniel Salinas Espino and Nemesio Reyes will introduce special guests in attendance.
The program will feature four addresses, beginning with remarks from Mission Collegiate High School Principal Ana Lisa Flores, followed by Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cris King. Angelica Arizpe will deliver the salutatory address, followed by the valedictory address by Nicholas G. Ochoa.
The presentation of the class will be led by Principal Ana Lisa Flores.
Dr. King will provide the official certification of graduates, after which the Mission CISD Board of Trustees will award diplomas to the graduates of the Class of 2026.
A Mission Collegiate special farewell video will be presented by Jeniffer Castillo, followed by Ximena Valdez presenting the “Alma Mater.” Nemesio Reyes will lead the tassel ceremony, and Carmen E. Ozuna will present the Knight Legacy.
Graduates will then depart to “War March of the Priest.”
