Mission CISD Board advances Employee Investment with 2026-2027 Compensation Plan

MISSION, TEXAS (June 23, 2026) – The Mission Consolidated Independent School District (Mission CISD) Board of Trustees has approved the district's compensation plan for the 2026-2027 school year.

The approved plan includes adjustments to all salary schedules. Eligible auxiliary employees, instructional assistants, clerical and technical employees, and administrative employees will receive a 1.5% pay increase based on the midpoint of their respective pay grades.

The district's teacher salary schedule begins at $59,850 for teachers with zero years of experience and reaches a maximum salary of $75,670 for teachers with 25 or more years of experience.

Teacher salary increases include:

  • Year 3: $1,000 increase
  • Year 5: $2,500 increase
  • All teachers will receive a $1,000 increase

*The teacher increase for the 26-27 school year is aligned with HB2 Teacher Retention Allotment.

In addition to the salary schedule, Mission CISD teachers have the opportunity to earn a six-figure salary through participation in the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program.

The Board of Trustees approved the compensation plan during its Regular Board of Trustees Budget Adoption Meeting held on June 17, 2026.
