MISSION, TEXAS — Mission Consolidated Independent School District will host a Financial Aid Night on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial High School Gym.
The districtwide event is designed to help Mission CISD seniors and their families navigate the financial aid process and prepare for the next step after graduation. All Mission CISD seniors are encouraged to attend, and both the student and a parent or guardian should be present.
“Financial aid can open doors for our students, but the process can sometimes feel overwhelming for families,” said Juan Garcia, Mission CISD Director of Guidance and Counseling. “Financial Aid Night gives our students and parents an opportunity to receive guidance, ask questions and make sure they are taking the necessary steps to prepare for college. Our goal is to make sure every senior understands the resources available to them and feels supported as they plan for life after graduation.”
Before attending, students and parents are encouraged to create their Federal Student Aid (FSA) IDs, which are used to access and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Federal Student Aid guidance explains that contributors to a FAFSA use their own StudentAid.gov accounts to complete and sign their required portions of the form.
Families should bring the following documents and information to the event:
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license
- 2025 W-2 forms
- 2025 federal income tax information
Financial Aid Night is part of Mission CISD’s continued commitment to ensuring graduating seniors have the information and support needed to pursue college, career and other postsecondary opportunities.
