Danaly Garza, from Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) traveled to Kansas City, Missouri during part of her summer to compete in the SkillsUSA National cosmetology contests. She placed fourth at this national event.
Garza competed in the area of nail care. This consisted of an interview, a skills test in nail enhancements and nail art, a written exam, and an oral presentation.
Garza had previously placed first at the state level, qualifying her for the national competition.
