MHS band places in top three at recent round of competitions

Saturday, September 28 was a particularly busy day for the Mission High School (MHS) and Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) marching bands. They each participated in two competitions that day.

After competing in the Valley View Golden Tiger Marching Festival in the morning, the Eagle Band went on to the Bear Band Classic that afternoon at the PSJA Stadium. The Eagle Band placed third in class 4A and placed in the top ten overall, edging out several 5A schools.

The bands have marching competitions almost every Saturday, beginning in September as they prepare for the annual Pigskin Jubillee marching contest that will be held on October 19.
