A total of 11 Mission High School (MHS) students have qualified to advance to the DECA State Career Development Conference. They earned the advancement based upon their performance in the DECA District 1 competition in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Management, Hospitality, and Finance. The state competitions are scheduled for February in Dallas, Texas.
The students who are advancing are: Rocio Rendon and Nicole Reyes, Advertising Campaign; Andy Garcia, Accounting Applications; Claudia Cavazos, Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series; Erik Ramirez, Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series; Griselda Carrillo, Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series; Juan Danny Garcia, Principles of Finance; Gema M. Garcia Paez, Principles of Marketing; John Diaz, Sports and Entertainment; Brandon Montalvo and Jose Silva, Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making.
