Mr. B’s Wanna B’s

Who says promoting reading is only for English teachers? A seventh grade Math teacher at Alton Memorial Jr. High School has started his very own student book club at the school.

David Bridgewater meets with a large group of dedicated students who are striving to become AR Millionaires. Each student is assigned a chapter and is expected to present to the club the following day. As the student presenters speak, the other club members take notes and take part in the chapter discussion. The students then use their notes to create a synopsis of the book before taking the AR test.

Students are closer to becoming AR Millionaires and have been enjoying the whole process…and the books. They have even given themselves a name: Mr. B’s Wanna B Millionaires.
