MHS BPA students qualify for national competitions

                Several Business Professional of America (BPA) students from Mission High School (MHS) have qualified to attend and compete at the BPA National Leadership Conference to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana in late April. The students qualified, based on their performance at the state BPA leadership conference held this month.

                Andy Garcia placed first and is advancing in Fundamental Accounting. Samantha Sanchez placed fourth and is advancing in Fundamental Word Processing. Maxine Rodriguez is advancing in Keyboarding Production after placing fourth at state.

                The Administrative Support Team consisting of Javier Cervantes, Claudia Cavazos, Nallely De Leon, and Jasmin Vega, placed third at state and are serving as alternates for nationals. Kimberly Muniz, who placed sixth in Advanced Interview Skills, and Aaron Moreno, who placed seventh in Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications are also national alternates.
